The Avance Aortic Graft Delivery System incorporates an innovative handle design, optimising user inputs with a dual speed actuation mechanism which allows the user to deploy the graft accurately and efficiently.
A changing patient demographic driven by lower risk patient cohorts has created the need for innovation in the Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm space. The implantation of an aortic stent graft using a delivery system requires accurate and rapid placement in a dynamic environment. The Avance system is designed to optimise the user interface, reduce the input force required from the clinician and increase graft deployment accuracy for better patient outcome.
The initial deployment has a 1:1 response allowing the user to accurately position and partially deploy the graft at the target location within the anatomy. The second half of deployment incorporates a faster travel, enabling the user to fully deploy the graft efficiently with minimal impact on patient cardiac output. The internal drive mechanism has also been engineered to reduce delivery system length – leading the way for the possibility of single user procedures.
